Who we see

Spravato (esketamine) is an FDA-approved nasal-spray medication for adults with treatment-resistant depression, and for depressive symptoms in adults with major depressive disorder with acute suicidal ideation or behavior.
Most insurers require at least two adequate prior antidepressant trials to qualify.
This treatment is not compatible with active substance use, and we screen for it carefully.
Not everyone responds. Not a cure, and not a promise.

Patients can also print our letter for your doctor and bring it to you.

How a Spravato visit runs

In the words we give patients:

You administer the nasal spray yourself, with the clinician right there. No IVs, no needles.
Every dose is observed by a healthcare provider, with two-hour post-dose monitoring and blood-pressure checks before you leave.
It's never sent home.
Visits run a little over two hours with a monitored rest period after dosing.
Patients arrange a ride and do not drive until the next day.

Patients are seen at our South County clinic: 3934 Union Rd, St. Louis, MO 63125. Mon-Thu 7:00am-6:00pm, Fri 7:00am-2:00pm, closed Sat and Sun.

Coordination, and what comes back to you

In the words we give patients:

We treat alongside your existing therapy and send progress notes to whoever you choose, with your consent.
Your PHQ-9 is measured at every visit, so you see the numbers move, not just how you feel.
For veterans, intake uses PCL-5 and PHQ-9 online.
